Bleeding Clutch on 1200

Postby WVJefo » Thu Apr 10, 2014 7:36 pm

Had a hell of a time bleeding the clutch till I saw a You tube video. Crack the banjo bolt at the handlebars and pump lever a couple of times. Hold the lever in & tighten bolt. If it doesn't work remove Banjo bolt put your finger over hole on clutch lever & pump. Hold lever in when installing bolt. It worked for me. Should work on other Goldwings too

We used to bench bleed master cylinders on vehicles before we installed them.Used to run hoses from the ports back into the reservoir and pump untill the bubbles were gone. That's basically what you're doing only on the bike instead of in a vise on the bench.Glad you got it sorted and thanks to SS.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
