85 goldwing interstate tilt switch

Post by shaggy0911 » Tue Apr 29, 2014 9:03 pm

Hi all, I had just got done putting forks back in and I removed my center stand and bike tipped over on its side. When I went to start it it just clicks at the solenoid. Does anyone know if there is a switch on the 85's that I have to reset. It was running great before is tipped.

No reset switch...
If your start solenoid just clicks, there are 3 possibilities...
First is a hydrolocked engine...remove the spark plugs and bump the starter...If it's hydrolocked, gas will be violently shot out of the plug hole so be aware....KILL the ignition....

If it still just clicks, either the starter died or there isn't enough power getting to the starter to get it to turn...
With a volt meter, push the start button and measure the volts on the starter lug....Work your way back to the battery and associated connections
