can you replacing a GL 1200 engine with a GL 1500 on a 84 frame?

Nothing's impossible...but wow, that would be a huge amount of work. It's certainly not going to shoehorn in there with just a few modifications - it would entail major frame cutting and welding in order to get it to fit.

Thanks was just thinking about it.. Think I have a loose rod..

I can't help if you have a loose rod :D ...
However if the bike sounds like it has a loose rod,especially just above a idle,a good carb sync has been known to quiet the noise....

Totally agree!Those motors can make some strange noises when they are running rough.The motors are pretty well put together also,so unless it was really abused you usually don't have mechanical issues with them.


If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
