I recently went on a interstate ride and had to have the electric fuel pump replaced. The only quick fix was to install a vaccum pump which worked very well.
I am now re fitting the original electric pump BUT cannot find where the pump 12 volt connector hooks up.
Can anyone assist.
A photo with an arrow would be great.

Re: location of fuel pump power plug
On my 84 Aspy, the best description would be on the forward right hand corner of the drip tray that is around the fuel tank cap. On my wife's 84 it is on the forward left hand corner and with the bike semi disassembled, has dropped down to right beside the fuel shut-off valve. Sorry, no pictures, but on both bikes, it is the only plug in the area that is not caged in a bracket.

I personally have not, but have heard everything from failing to noisy. Guess I should find some wood to knock on at this point.

I just had to replace my fuel pump also, put in the pump from a'85 Honda Prelude car for under $40 with shipping, this is a direct fit. You will need to take off the false tank to get to the plug. You will see it located just to the right of the gas cap after you remove the false tank.

tprender where did you order the pump. I'm seeing much more expensive pumps. You said direct fit so all you had to do was sync the carbs and ride?

Re: location of fuel pump power plug
All that I did was a google search for a '85 Prelude pump and I took the best price with shipping on an Airtex pump from the results. I had to cut the 2 wires to hook up the pump and figure out which of the 2 outlets were in and out. It might not be as shinny as the stock pump, but it works now. I just put the pump on and rode, being that it was running good before, my old pump was just leaking some gas.
Here is where I got all of my info on how and what to buy.
