GL1200L crankshaft seal

Post by downhomr » Thu Jun 26, 2014 10:29 am

Hello all...wondering if someone might be able to help me with something.
I have some leaking from my front belt covers.
Bike has 230,000 Kms.
I have not gone into it yet, until I had some seals on hand.
I have the 2 camshaft seals...however, the crankshaft seal is discontinued.
Has anyone had any luck locating that particular seal?.
Thank you very much.

Mr Google led me to this: ... 88563.html

For UK Pounds 6.60 it shouldnt be too expensive to have posted to you. You should get out of it for about US$20, but I dont know what your Customs will want to process it. Low value items are usually inspected but allowed through in Oz, just for comparison.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

If there is a good industrial supply place near you ya can just go get a good quality 35mm x 59mm x 8 mm oil seal... If you can get a viton one that would likely last for ever...

Get the correct Honda seal. £6.60 is $11 which includes 20% VAT which would be deducted for your purchase. I ship stuff like this to the States all the time; it should only be about £5 / $8.50 if you specify non-priority Royal Mail first class post.

'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!

( Seriously, you haven't read all 115 pages of my website ?? )
