Where is the turn signal relay switch located on 84 GL 1200?

I'm not sure what you're asking? The turn signal relay is the flasher. If that's what you're asking, it's located underneath the false tank, on the left hand side. You need to remove the seat, unbolt the false tank, and lift it up. You'll find the flasher secured to the frame with a thick rubber piece.

OK. Thanks, I found it on the right side. I have changed the flasher with a new one and I still am having problems. I have tested the wire leads and they are OK. I have no emergency/four-way flashers on this bike at all so I doubt it there is another flasher unit. What am I missing?

oops, just realized I was answering a GL1200 question, not a GL1100 question. I gave you the location for the GL1100. Ok, as you discovered (and for anyone searching for this info in future), the flasher on the GL1200 is under the false tank, near the front, on the right side, mounted in a rubber ring that is attached to the bracket that holds the ignition coils.

Thanks for your help. I got things figured out but it seems now I have another electrical problem. Life is an adventure!
