? Engine Pinging on 85' 1200 S E I ?

Just getting back from a long trip. I hadn't noticed before cause where i live it's all flat land, But on long hard pulls Uphill the Engine starts Pinging real bad and Looses Power. Anybody Got any Idea's.

That's commonly caused by too lean a mixture, but how you go about adjusting mixture on the fuel injected Wings...I haven't a clue. I'm sure it must be able to be done, but I don't know how.

You could also check your plugs - carbon deposits on your plugs can heat up and cause preignition/detonation.

Lastly, a low-quality fuel can cause it. Try bumping up to the next octane level and see if that has any effect.

Try putting some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel. Available at Wal-Mart and most auto parts stores. Just following the directions. I've been using it in all my vehicles to include my GL1000 & 1200 (even my riding mowers) for years with great results.
