Stator wire size
Hello, just wondering what gauge wire should I use to replace corroding wires coming off my stator on my '87 GL1200A? Thanks a bunch.

Re: Stator wire size
Well bigger is better.I think the original was about a 14ga. Maybe even a 12.
I usually overkill and run 10 but a fine stranded 12 should be enough.
Each yellow wire has to carries about 8 amp.

While your poking around,if your bike has the 4 wire pulse coil plug next to the stator plug, check it for corrosion too.
Also include the big plug that attaches to the regulator module in your repairs.
