86 1200i goldwing electrical schematic

Postby pappasmurf » Sat Sep 20, 2014 9:27 pm

hello all ,
can anyone tell me if the 85interstate electrical schematic is the same as the 86interstate electrical schematic? or more to the point if the turn signal schematics are the same ? I have a manual that covers 84 85 86 87 but for some reason maybe misprint but my 86 interstate electrical schematic is not included .and im having some issues with my turn signals not working so just wanted to go thru the splices made by the previous owner to mae sure he spliced the right wires correctly. any help would be appreciated

They *should* be the same. The problem with the schematics is that Honda is lazy, and often just published the same schematic from year to year even when minor changes were made, rather than go through the expense of drafting a whole new schematic. This is repeated all the way up to the 2000 year GL1500, whose schematic is wholly inaccurate in several places, and represents items that were changed years before.

As far as I know, the GL1800 schematics show year-to-year changes accurately, however.
