Corbin and Saddleman Road Sofa seats

Postby alwims » Sat Oct 25, 2014 5:56 pm

Does anybody know why Corbin and Saddleman Road Sofa seats are only listed to fit 84, 85 and 86 1200's and not 87's. I'm wanting to upgrade to one of those, but they neither one list 87's. I thought all years of 1200 seats were interchangeable.

Like you I thought all years of the 1200 seats were interchageable.I knew that the 87 was reworked and was supposed to be the best of the 12's,but I thought the physical fit was all the same.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

I didn't care for it. It was comfortable but made me ride to high in the saddle. It's for sale on ebay. Buy it now price $300 or bid on it 23 hrs left.

I put a Corbin Master seat on my 85, it is a little lower then the OEM seat but is 1000% better seat then OEM of which I couldn't go 100 mi. without butt burn, this is good for 250 mi befor I need to stretch my legs and no burn yet. Yes, it is not cheap but nether is your back side and you won't be taking a hit selling it on Ebay at a great loss.
PS. it is as good as the seat on both of my GL1500's I had and looks much better.
