Your problems will have a lot to do with how the gas was prepped for storage. If the previous owner added a good fuel stabilizer you may get lucky. However if the gas was left in the carbs without treatment, you may have to remove and clean the carbs completely. Randakks has the various orings and other parts that you may need usually in a kit form. There are other suppliers but he specializes in older gold wings and CBX's.

First thing I would do, assuming that you have already tried to start the Wing without success, is drain the tank and determine if gas is flowing from there. Clean everything in the fuel system. This may involve new hoses but well worth the cost to fix completely. I can recommend vendors that do carb work if you want to turn it over to a professional. You might also check on Randakks website for his recommended carb rebuilders.

There is no way to tell if your timing belts are OK. The only way to know for sure is to know when they were last changed.

If you do have to take the carbs off to be cleaned, change all of the vacumm lines for safety and piece of mine. If the gas was not treated or to be safe, change the fuel lines before you try to start the bike. You can buy new line at any auto parts store and cut to length. I twisted safety wire around all of my lines to make sure that they were tight. best of luck.
I would drain the tank and put fresh gas in before your try to start it the 1st time and also, drain the float bowls of the old gas.

You need to get the old gas out. The most any gas treatment will last is 2 yrs at the best, most say 1 yr. I am not sure that old gas will mess up the fuel pump, I would think that it should be OK.
