FM Radio does not work

Postby taylorwg » Wed Jun 09, 2010 8:03 am

I have a 1987 wing that the radio was working great. Then one day all I got was a loud hum. I pulled it out and cleaned everything up and re inserted the radio and it worked. The next morning the hum was back. Now the AM and tape work but the FM will not. All I get is a hum. Is there anyone who can help in finding out what would cause this to happen.

Contact Sierra Electronics - they fix the radios, usually for a flat $100 fee. They're excellent and dependable.

Thanks so much for information. I am going to try the corrosion first then I will ship it off. I am getting ready to sell and I want it to work. I want to move up so to speak.

Thanks for the sugestion. I took the radio apart last night and sprayed it good with electric cleaner. It works better now than it has in months.

Thanks for your help.
