Do the mirrors not adjust on my 86 Aspen or is it just me?

I've got an 85 Aspencade. Mirrors should adjust. Might take some effort as you need to move the the rubber too.
If I want more power, I'll lose weight

1985 GL1200A Aspencade
1981 GL1100 Gold Wing w/ Vetter package
2005 Suzuki C90T Boulevard (for sale)
1980 Suzuki GS850GT (totaled 1982)
1976 Honda CB550 (gone)
1978 Honda 185 Twinstar (gone)

The mirrors are a bear to adjust. As an aside, check to make sure the screws under the rubber are properly torqued. I had the misfortune of snapping a mirror clean off because of too tight screws. and no, it isn't easy, and that's for a reason.
