What size fuel line

Postby thrasherg » Mon Jan 26, 2015 8:34 pm

Okay peeps,

A last question for you. I seem to have my friends 1200 running quite nicely, but all the fuel lines where perished. I replaced them with fuel line that I had, but it's leaking where the fuel line connects to the carburetors, my line must be too large. I will go and buy some new line as I can't find the fuel line listed on the Honda website. Can anyone tell me what size line it is? According to the Microfiche, the fuel line from the main tank to the fuel pump is 5.5mm, but it doesn't show any of the lines after the fuel pump, I assume they are all 5.5mm, but thought I would ask here to avoid buying the wrong size!!

Many thanks

Gary

1/4 inch (works out to 6.3mm) works on pretty much all Goldwings from 1975 to 1986. In 1987 they switched to 5/16" (about 8mm). You might also try switching to fuel injection hose clamps to give it a bit more pressure to seal it against the barb, to prevent leaks.
