What do I use to clean out brake master cylinder and calipers ,the system in general, is there some cleaner or solvent that won't hurt seals etc . Thanks Rick

If you're not planning to take anything apart then I would have to say no.Usually the system just gets flushed out with new brake fluid. If it's that bad then you should look at removing and disassembling the individual pieces and cleaning. At that point you're going to need new seals anyway so any number of cleaners could be used at that point.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

Not sure about calipers, but I have used brake parts cleaner spray to clean gunk out of master cylinders, before installing a kit. using the straw to clean out the return hole as well. it drys quickly, and leaves no residue. never been an issue with rubber parts.
