I PURCHASED A GOLDWIND 1200 ASP. HAD A STORE BOUGHT RADIO IN .I WANTED THE ORIGINAL,BOUGHT ONE ON EBAY PANASONIC CANT TUNE ANY STATIONS IN DO I NEED HANDLE BAR CONTROLER? BIKE DIDNT HAVE ONE HELP WIRING IS ALSO MESS THE GUY CUT ALL WIRES

The handlebar controller allows for individual stations to be set. The memory buttons on the radio will set the stations that are pre-set but that's all it'll do. If you bought an Aspy then it should have had the h/b controller already installed unless the PO removed it. If that's the case then it's time to hit ebay again and look for one.

The wires being cut is another matter. Fortunately Hondas are color coded so in most cases (probably 95% of all cases) the colors going in are the colors going out so you might be able to just attach the matching color coded wires and make it work.
The other question is 'where' did the PO cut the wires??? It makes a difference.

Is the antenna attached ok? It has to have one or it won't work.
Did the PO remove the radio base where the stock radio attaches? On the back side of the radio base is the connections to the harness. It's got to be there or you're 'up the creek'.

THANKS THAT HELPS, HE REMOVED EVERY THING JUST WIRES ANY MORE. I GOT THE BRACKET ON EBAY AND THE AMP, ANTENNA IS STILL CONNECTED. ITS A NIGHT MARE! I FOUND A CONTROLER ON EBAY CAME OFF A1100 WILL IT FIT,YEAR 1984,ANY HELP WILL BE APRIECIATED THANKS

I doubt it ,! In fact I can say it wont . Because an 1100 has a Clarion system and a 1200 has a Panasonic system. So you need to look for a 1200 replacement 84-87 :)
