84' interstate after market rear lights?

Postby Browner_77 » Mon Mar 02, 2015 6:27 pm

Hi fellow Goldwingers!

I just brought home my first goldwing, a beautiful 84' interstate, and I am going through it, replacing some of the doo-dads, bolt covers, wires (the yellow ones), and such. When I realized that the previous owner installed a "U" light set around the whole back, does anyone know the brand of this?? or what it is called? the entire "U" and several other lights around the bike are all connected to a switch-box on the right brake reservoir, with 5 switches, lighting up different light on the bar itself.

That is commonly called a bumper, it's got some extra farkles/lights installed on it as well. The two main manufacturers were Markland, now out of business, and Drag Specialties, which is still around. I'm not sure which yours is, but I suspect it might be a Markland.

Thanks so much! The PO was a fan of splices and non-soldered crimp connectors so I might be rewiring it and wanted to know the brand, agn thanks!
