I don't know the answer but if the wheels sizes are the same on both bikes, I would think the frame is the same,, the swingarm would be the same size , I'm guessing but I bet they are..Someone that knows for a fact will be along shortly... :D

Hold on, someone will read it and know for sure...I'm not sure.. :D Looks like the 85 rear wheel is the same on both the Limited and the Asp. I am assuming the engine mounts are the same on both, I hate giving a answer I'm not positive of so I shouldn't do so.....You got me curious now... :D I should go mind my own business.... :D

I'm just guessing too, but I see no reason for any frame changes mid model run. As far as I know, the main differences between the LTD and and Apsy were just the FI and ignition. That and the fact I'd have been kinda upset if I'd bought an LTD new and the next year they just rebadged it the SEi :x

The parts fiche shows two different part numbers for frames between the models. Overall the frames would be identical in dimension. Differences would be for the LTD electronics as in additional bracketry for items such as computer, possible wire harness tabs, maybe a place for fuel pump attachment etc etc.

If you have the old LTD frame they could be cut off and welded to new if building an LTD.

This would be my best guess.
