Need help with what some buttons do!!!
My new 1987 Aspencade has many more buttons on than my old 1983 1100. Can anyone tell me what the two green buttons are that are next to the cruise control? Also, does anyone have a video on how to use the air pressure control buttons? I'm lost. One more thing; the knob for moving the back rest on the seat is gone so I need an allen wrench. Does anyone know what size I would need so I don't buy the wrong size? There was no tool kit or I'd probably have gotten one in the set. Anyone know a good place (and good price) for a used tool kit? Thanks! Dean

Sorry I can't help with the buttons because I've only ridden standards but as far as tools, you can put yourself a complete kit together fairly cheaply. If you go to Harbor Freight you can get a nice canvas bag to keep them in. Neither of my Goldwings still had the tools with them by the time I got them but I've seen the factory kits. They're better than no tools at all, but not really much more than that.

Thanks! I'll see if I can find a list of all the tools that usually come with a kit!

Re: Need help with what some buttons do!!!
cant help with green buttons but the air compressor is as follows. The front and rear button are for the forks, and an increase and decrease air button.
Turn the ignition on, press the front or rear button, and a graph will appear on the dash. while holding the rear or front button push, either the increase or decrease buttons to alter the air in shocks. This should be done with the bike on the center stand.
Front has a maximum of 6 psi, and rear a minimum of 28psi.
The button and cover at the bottom, allows a hose to be attached to the compressor to put air in the tires. turn the ignition to park, unscrew the left hand cover, and screw a hose onto the air valve under it. push the button on the right to put air in the tires. best done with bike on center stand, and the tires cold.

The green button switch box is aftermarket, and was made by Markland. Maybe trace the wires to see where they go.
