Driving lights

I've been looking for information about mounting a set of driving lights on the front forks. Anybody have any ideas? Haven't found a thread on it.

I don't know exactly what you are looking for but there are a bunch of Cree 30 watt LED driving lights on Ebay. They have a magnifying lense on them to concentrate the beam. Might be a little large for the forks but could be mounted on the fairing or crashbar. I plan on getting a pair as soon as I can get my 1200 on the road.

I bought a small set of 35 watt driving lights ( From Walmart ) and they do a good job of filling in the sides and shadows .... without causing my poor old stator to fail.

About half way down the front vent things, there is a fake cover ( black ) and a big screw on it to hold those side lower fairing pieces .
I made a right angled bracket to fasten to the bottom of the little lights, and fastened it with that large lower fairing screw ..

The holes in that vent are good for leading the driving light wires back to its relay .

This trick really only works for physically small lights ... mine are about 2 inches across.

If you decide on bigger ones , you will need to fasten them to the crash bars .
