I have a 1987 goldwing interstate, with a cable speedometer. Does any one have an Idea how to run the cable into the Fairing? The was no cable when I bought the bike. Im hooked to the front wheel but cant seem to find the right route to the gauges any pic would be help full.

On my 1100, it has a little clip on the left brake caliper to hold it in place, and from there, just runs in a gentle curve up into the bottom of the fairing, in front of the forks, and into the back of the speedometer. Your 1200 may or may not be the same (but I would be surprised if it's different).

Thanks for the advice. yes it wored was just worried about the bend at the back. I also own a 1982 interstate that i rebuilt. Wonder what you thought about using a synthetic oil.
