Yep, its broken

No, no the bike, my dang foot. Happened 3 weeks ago to the day.
Came home from a great 2 hour ride, pulled into driveway, couldn't access garage since car was in the way, pulled over to concrete walkway leading to house, its a bit higher than pavement by a few inches, stopped bike, left foot goes down a bit too far to plant it properly on the ground, the bike leans over the tipping point, hold on, hold on, ease the bike down, can't hold it, bike goes down, left floor board digs into my left foot, big OUCH. Good thing I had steel toes or else could have been worse. Xray shows 3rd bone in foot with oblique fracture, 6 weeks with walking cast. DAMMIT.
Lesson learned here = when shes going down, jump away, nothing happens to the bike anyway.

Sorry to hear it! Yep, I've only had one wing go down on me (GL1100), when I was about to set off, and just as I was about to go, someone stopped to ask me about my bike. I leaned it back onto the kickstand to show them whatever it was they were asking, and - oops, forgot I had already put the kickstand up! Slowly started going over, I realized it was past the point that I could save it, so I jumped off and let it go.

Is a walking cast still a riding cast? :D

I will have to give it a try, the heel toe shifter might just work, except for 1st gear
