Just bought a 1984 low mileage Interstate.
I'm the fourth owner, and I know the third owner who is the person I bought the bike from. One of the previous owners, and I suspect it was the second owner dropped the bike and cracked the front fairing, and slightly bent the frame that the fairings attach to. That will be a repair for the winter. Bike rides straight, so I know the main frame is fine.
One of the 2 previous owners, and I suspect it was the first, made this into a full dress bike, with about every accessory on it that was available to a GL1200..
The paint on the top of the front fender is damaged, and there are 3 holes at the front edge.
My question is; did Honda have some kind of decorative piece on the top of the fender, or were these holes that were put there to put some aftermarket piece on with.
Also, if this was a standard Honda part, would anyone have one for sale.
