Hi, I have a 1984 gl1200 Interstate, and I live in Michigan where riding temps can range from 45-90 degrees. What oil weight should I use?

Thanks...

Here's what it says for your bike in the manual:

GL1200 Oil
GL1200 Oil

I'd go with 10W-40.

I'm in Michigan also and use 10w40 during the colder riding months, sometimes I use it all year long but if I get a lot of miles in i'll switch to 20w 50 for july and august

Looking at the chart, I'd say the 10W40 also.
