I have been unsuccessfully trying to secure a GL1200 front crankshaft seal (91201-MG9-005) over the last few months. I've read that several people have successfully installed (no oil leaks!) GL1500 crankshaft seals (91201-MN5-003) onto their GL1200s. The dimensions of the two seals are identical (35x59x8), but the directions of their groovings differ: one spirals clockwise, the other counterclockwise, each aligning with its motor's direction. Does anyone have any advice about this? Has anyone tried it? There's a slim possibility that I'll be able to secure a GL1200 seal from somewhere in the Netherlands, but that's all it is: a slim possibility. So I'm thinking about trying out the GL1500 seal.
