GL 1200 Clutch Problem

Postby nibjason » Sun Jun 21, 2015 11:32 pm

I couldn't find anything that matched my scenario. I recently bought an 85 Aspencade and have since put 300 miles on it, with a total of 110,000. Since I have been riding the clutch engagement has slowly moved to the very end of the clutch lever travel. The clutch felt right when I first started riding it engaging and disengaging about in the middle of the clutch lever travel. Now the clutch disengages at the very end of travel. The clutch lever itself feels fine. The clutch is not slipping yet, but when I start it now in gear, clutch depressed it wants to lurch forward as if the clutch is not completely releasing. Does this sound like a hydraulic issue with the main or slave cylinder or with my actual clutch? Thanks for the help.

To clarify the clutch mostly disengages in the first 1/2" of travel now and reengages in the last 1/2" as I release the lever.

Is be inclined to replace the fluid and bleed all the air out first.
My88 just started doing this.Low on fluid and air in the line.Im due for new seals and a flush.
