back brakes dragging

so i have a 1984 gl1200 aspencade the back brake drags when your on it tried a new caliber with new pads put a welding tip cleaner through mastercylinder flushed the fluid it seems to drag only the back when i push the brakes it stays on when i let off until i come to a complete stop and drift back 1-2 inches then its not dragging till i push the back brakes again any idea guys?

There are two usual causes for this:

- Return port in the master cylinder is clogged
- Brake pedal pivot is corroded, preventing lever from returning

If you push the pedal down and it is staying down, it's likely the second one.

If the pedal comes up but the brakes stay on, it's likely the first one. Try cracking the bleeder on the rear caliper. If fluid squirts out and the brake instantly releases, then it's almost certainly the first issue.

The pedal returns fine been kept indoors since new the tire will stay locked up if you let the bleeder loose it will still stay locked up till you move the tire backwards then it's free again
