gl1200 caliper pivot bushing removal

any suggestions on the removal of the caliper pivot bushing?
Have tried many thing but it just doesn't seem to want to budge.

I've used multiple sockets and a c-clamp as a mini-press - small socket the size of the tube to press, then a large socket to press it into. The c-clamp does all the work. Hope this makes sense:
c-clamp->small socket->tube->caliper->large socket->c-clamp

Multiple hands help also, if you can ask someone. Spray it with penetrating fluid. Clean it well when you put a new kit in, as the fluid will probably swell the rubber.
