Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on any of the Goldwing Forums I belong to so hope I'm doing this correctly. Anyway last Oct. I purchased a basket case GL1200 it was actually completely torn down and was in plastic shipping crates so after plenty of reading and a lot of searching these awesome forums it has had carburetors, engine, calibers, front tree, and I completed upholstering the seat and rewired & switched to LED lights except headlight which was changed to HID. Anyway it is about 90% back together except I cant figure out where the right and left cowl plates go and where the horns and the brackets they are attach to bolts on. Thanks to all replies in advance for they are greatly appreciated. Sincerely, ETA0k

I took this pic right before I replaced the head gaskets on my 87 GL1200A last month. This is the right side of the radiator frame. I'm not following what you mean by cowl plates. Pictures help. Click on my pic to make it bigger.

Not sure which 'cowl' you might be referring to, below is the horn location, to the rear of horn is the inner cowl

Thanks for the fast replies was a great help as I have been using a parts manual to assemble this bike. Now onto fixing the cruise control.I'm sure I'll be back with some questions about the switches, but for now just want to thank the administrators for this form.....and all that looked at my post.
