What would cause my brake lights to stop working

Hi I have a 1985 interstate and my brake lights stopped working,can anyone help me

Check the fuse first

It appears that there is not only 2 switches,but a fuse and relay.It appears that the "sensor" module is also attached to monitor the circuit...It's suppose to light a lamp warning briefly when the key is turned on(self test) and then light up if the brake lamp does not light (if) the rest of the circuit is OK.
Check fuse #10 and relay #1..Also suspect both switches...

There is a ground wire in the trunk of my bike,I would check that first.
