1985 aspencade limited edition, fuse for trip computer

Postby kirt » Mon Aug 17, 2015 9:59 am

Hello, I have just bought a 1985 Aspencade Limited Edition. The trip computer is blank. Does not work at all. Also the fuel light is always on ,on the dash. I have heard that somewhere there is a 7.5 amp fuse that controls this stuff but I can't find it. Does anyone know about this and if there is a fuse where is it. I heard it was in the pouch on the left of the dash. If so I can't find it. Thanks anyone for the help.

The fuse block on my '86 was in the top compartment (under the lid above the gas cap).

I don't know which one it might be, but I don't think that there were more than 10 of them, so it shouldn't be hard to check them all to see if one is blown.

I have found the 7.5 amp fuse that controls the trip computer(thanks to right winger), changed it and everything now works. Although I am still not sure what caused the fuse to blow in the first place as I bought the bike with the computer not working. Anyways nice to have it working.

OK, glad to hear that it's fixed.
Where was the fuse that was replaced to fix the issue?

The fuse was inside the compartment on the left side of the dash. The one with the leather snap on cover. It's right at the bottom in there.
