Need to weld on 85 aspencade

Postby slowridetak59 » Wed Sep 09, 2015 7:27 am

Hi all, I have a quick question other than disconnecting the battery is it OK to weld on my 85 wing without doing any damage or is it not possible to do it? I know on cars you can. Please let me know thanks :)

I would disconnect both positive AND negative battery leads, and make sure that your ground clamp is as close to the actual welding site as possible. You should be fine doing welding then.

Thank you for your reply I think that this is the best site for golding info. Especially you are very guick with a reply that is very informative. Thank you I thought it would be the same as welding on a auto. I just wanted to make sure before I was going to because I didn't want to create more work and money. Again thank you and have a good one and keep the shiny side up in your travels :D
