Missing Bumper "1200" Emblem

Postby SilverDave » Wed Sep 23, 2015 5:41 pm

Does anyone recognize the brand name of this GL1200 bumper & light grill ??

Is it Drag specialities ? Markland ?
or some other less well known brand ??
( I know it must be at least 28 years old )

The bumper is fine : still shiny if I polish it up .
The right side ( see last pic ) used to have a "1200" emblem on it .... which rotted off sometime in last week or so .

I have searched EBAY and local wreckers : I can find lots of Honda emblems , mostly slightly curved, not flat ...
but no " 1200" emblems .... Heavy sigh....

Any suggestions as to where I might lay my hands on a " 1200" emblem " ?

I've seen that bumper before, but not with a "Honda" or "1200" on it. That looks like the addition of a previous owner - and that "Honda" emblem looks like an actual Honda emblem from something.

I would try one of the curved ones, then warm it slightly with a heat gun to soften it before flattening it and allowing it to cool. You should be able to get it to stick just fine with some good VHB adhesive foam.
