FORKBRACE (Blackwing or SUPER)

Postby GL1200Domer » Sun Oct 18, 2015 5:08 am

Hey out there.
I'm Thomas from Denmark and I could use a little help from some of you wise people out there . I have read a lot about the "Blackwing fork brace" and the "Superbrace" for the GL1500 in the newsletters. Now, I would like to know, if there is anything like that for the GL1200. There must be something?

I'm a first year owner and rider of a GL1200 interstate and new to this forum. So I would be very happy if you could guide me on this matter :D .

What can you recommend? I'm looking for products and where to buy them and most of all your experience on riding with product.

Kind regards
Thomas Ebert

I got one of these but I don't think it made much of a difference at least what I could tell.

Someone on here said it's to help with stability at low speeds. I don't know if to recommend it or not because I just don't feel any difference.

Hey Wilmo

Thank you for your answer. I used your link and I have actually bought the forkbrace.

Havn't got it yet, but I'm looking forward to install it and try it out. :)

I have this brace. Remember it's job is to stop the fork from twisting (low speed wobble/flex).... not one fork compressing without the other.
I never rode my bike before I went through it all so I can't say my bike had low speed wobble before the brace but I can say it does not any low speed wobble and I have the brace on the bike.
