well, i went up to my friends motorcycle salvage yard and it so happens he has an 85 GL1200 aspy up there with a crank sensor still on it, and i asked him if i could look at it to trace where the wire connects to. i found it, and its connected to a 3 connector bar thats attached to the left side ignition coil. i bought the sensor from him anyway in the event that the one thats on my bike is truly bad. i got home, looked for the connector up at the coil and sure enough it was the same one, so i plugged the crank sensor in, turned the ignition switch on, let the fuel pump push the fuel, pressed the starter button and this bike fired right up on the first shot :D. I'M A HAPPY CAMPER ! ! ! now that i know the bike runs, its time to put all the body plastics back on it and see how it truly looks.

i was gonna take a pic of where the connector is, but its too dark in my garage to see it with my "cheapo" camera. now on to bigger and better "stuff".

stuart.
