Looking for RH speaker cover and grommet

Postby tbeiler » Mon Jan 11, 2016 10:21 pm

1986 Aspencade
Anyone in WingWorld have a spare RH speaker cover, part number 64261-MG9-930 GRILLE, R. SPEAKER '86A
amd a grommet, part number 64258-MG9-931 GROMMET- '86A/SEI, '87A
Not available at the Honda dealer and no luck at the local wrecker.
My grommet is missing the lock tab so it won't hold, and and speaker cover is also missing one lock tab, (hence 2 screws holding the speaker cover on, done by previous owner).
Thanks

I would look on ebay. I got the little HONDA grommet for $10. Ya but I needed one. My right speaker had a bad warp in it. So used my heat gun....warmed up to 360 deg.put my little 15lb. anvel on it till it kooled. It has a broken lock tab on back of grill. Are you saying it wont stay put?

There are two additional screws holding the speaker cover in place. My cover is missing 1 lock tab, and Grommet is also missing the tab to hold it captive on dash, so the single screw through the cover does nothing. I just don't like the looks of it.

Sierra still has the retainer set, screw, grommet, and Honda emblem cover available, $10.

Is this what you're looking for? I have both of them and don't need em. Not planning on using them again-forgot I had them until I read this post. Shouldn't take more than $5 to ship. $20 sound ok? They have a small warp in them but if you heat em up you should be able to flatten them. The grommet I take, is the white thing on the back? Let me know...
oops just noticed you're in Canada. Shipping will be more then but I don't know, never sent anything there. Let me know
