Air Drier/Compressor removel

Postby twocams » Fri Jan 22, 2016 11:57 pm

I looked high and low for some pictures of the air drier and compressor removed from an 85 Aspencade. Or even 84-87. I got bites and pieces of information from different sites. So I took some pictures of mine removed as a package. The air drier can be removed from the rubber "package by itself. I dont know about reinstalling that way. Cause I finally removed the whole thing.

Also took pictures of the 2 little nubs that hold the rubber housing to the inside right fairing pocket and exit outside by the right fork.

Here are the 2 holes the nubs come out into. I couldnt get to one of the nubs without removing the dash part that covers the instrument panel. Some say that there clock just pulls out, which my does. But not without depressing a little catch on the left side of the clock. The radio has to be removed cause the clock catch is attached to the end of the right radio rail.

Maybe this will help others. The book says to just lift and pull the rubber package out. Well guess what they dont all just pull out.

OK, why do I have to find everything out for myself. The drain hose had come off the right rubber air duct. I had to take the right vent out and air duct. I'll be darn there's that damn air compressor/filter I just struggled to put back in. I could have removed and reinstalled by removing the right speaker, air vent/rubber duck. A lot easier this away. Why dont people tell me this ****.
