hey guys, i have a question about my SEi's radio. its totally stock with the plug coming thru the left fairing cover,(round pin connector), and i was wondering what do i need to connect to a set of headphones. i know the radio and CB works, but i don't know what i need to get it all connected together. it also has 2 round pin connectors for the passenger but nothing else.

If it's like mine was, I think it is, you need to have a cord for each helmet you want to plug in (ie 2 helmets, 2 cords). The helmets need to be setup with headsets & mics. I bought my setup and it's a J&M. J&M has a 2 piece cord, one is called the lower cord and goes to bike plug and a short cord coming from helmet. Then have to have that short cord, plugs into helmet & long cord. Then of course the helmet system.

I actually bought helmets and cords from Sierra, they installed the helmets systems. Seems about every time I need new helmets, something in the sound system needs replacing & J&M doesn't still make the old parts, so I end up buying a whole new setup. I think I'm on the 3rd system, maybe 4th. Not bad for 30 yrs. ;)

Once you have the parts the bike has everything else, just plug in cords and push headset button, adjust audio knobs for sound and mute levels. Note that the 'auto volume' system has no effect with headset system, on mine, kind of a let down. Not sure that 'tone' has any effect either, none I notice.

cyclemax has all the stuff you need to hook things together, you can work out how much from there. the stock din connectors for the 1200 are 5 pin.
