GL1200 U-Joint Length

Postby Rednaxs60 » Wed Mar 30, 2016 9:51 am

When I did the swing arm on my '85 LTD, I measured the length of the u-joint - came in at just over 6 inches:

I found a picture of one for a Valkarie that measured about 1/2 inch longer.

Anyone able to confirm length of the 1200 u-joint?

Cheers

The one that came with my replacement final drive assembly is just over 6" (155mm to be exact).

Could the Valk U joiunt be cut off the 1/2"? Or are the splines different? Diameter same?
