Rear spline Moly-60 grease substitute

Postby SilverDave » Thu Apr 07, 2016 7:57 pm

My local Honda guy has no Honda Moly-60 in stock...... how sad ..

....Especially since the new tire/wheel is in my carport, and its a wonderfully sunny west coast day .

Does anyone know of an acceptable substitute for Honda Moly-60 that will adequately protect the rear splines ?

From Lordco ? or from Canadian Tire ? Or Napa ? or Locktite ?

or wherever ...
I did find some Pennzoil NLQl #2 which is Lithium with Molybdenum di-Sulphide ... but it does not say
what % Moly it has .

:(

I do understand that those rear splines need a real sticky, high moly grease to "Keep them going "

Suggestions for a Vancouver available substitute ??

SD - Loctite LB 8012. Cost comparison - Honda Moly 77 here on the island $12.00 per ounce. Loctite 8 ounce can - $6.00 per ounce minimum 65% moly content.

Sending a PM about next week.

Cheers
