I took my 85 1200A out Saturday first time on the road since 2010. She ran real well and lots of power it seemed. only 2 problems found so far. #4 carb drips out the pilot screw with gas valve off but only when there is pressure build up in the gas tank. Like when it was sitting in the nice warm sun. So may have to take the carbs back off to check the new float valve. And # 2 & 4 cylinders aren't firing right. Using my timing lite hooked to the plug wires 1 & 3 are firing great all the time with engine running, timing lite stay on like a flashlight.
# 2 isnt firing at all above 2400 rpm. #4 is very sporadic at that rpm you can see the lite flash, stop,flash,stop. Should be solid lite like # 1 & 3. Has new coils,pulse gen,plug wires. So I ordered new plug caps, the resistors checked OK but maybe something wrong with caps themselves. The tupperware isn't back on yet. Check out that new front fender.
