Anyone ever use this Tachometer/Hour Meter combo made by Tiny Tach. I bought one for my old BMW. But the kool thing is you rap the signal wire around the spark plug wire for your readings. Hey Im a sucker for kool gadgets/snake oil. May work for adjusting the carbs on my GL1200 too. One of the guys on a BMW forum uses the hour meter for tracking time his engine actually runs. :?:

Problem is that the spark plugs on wings use a wasted spark - so the plug fires TWICE per cycle (once per revolution). Unless the tach has a setting that allows this, it will read twice the actual engine speed.

Says it will do 1 spark per revolution up to 8 sparks per revolution. So yes it is adjustable. Point well taken.
