I ordered a new temperature sending unit and it came with one wire hook up my old one has 2 wires how do i make this work or will it work. please any info would help

forget about it. i looked everywhere for a 2 wire but never could verify that it had 2 wires from the drawing or the part number was the same as i already purchased finally found a used one on ebay for 5.95!!!!!!!!!
hope it works
would actually like to know if the single wire would work if anyone has any info

A one wire unit connects the other end to ground through the case. If you have a two-wire unit, connect one of the wires to ground.
