Radio search button problem?

Postby twocams » Wed Jul 27, 2016 4:15 pm

The search button on left left handle bar. Is It supposed to spring back to the middle position? The only way mine will return to the center position is to manually move it there. Does it need cleaning or is it made that way?

i think they move back to the middle by themselves. mine moves back by itself. yours might need a cleaning or the return spring/rocker could be worn down enough to make it not work.

Yes, its supposed to centre itself .

Be Careful if taking it apart ...

There are tiny springs in there... which love to fly around ... so take it apart in a clear plastic bag , or in an open, clear area ...
( Not in my garage !! )

I repaired and (cleaned) my CB switch (same location ) with 3 days of saturating with spray electrical contact cleaner.

Very messy ... use several old towels ... but it works !!

yes, thats a very nice looking foundation and building. if i were to rebuild my garage, thats the way i would have it done. cement floor throughout, with its own power box and 4 electrical outlets on every wall with a nice 10,000 BTU a/c for the summer and a wood burning stove for heat in the winter.

Ya, Im having 2 outlets per wall. 4 outlets in the ceiling. Own electric box in shop. Thinking 2,10,000 BTU A/Cs Electric heat....no wood for me for winter. :D

oh i would LOVE a nice old style Ben Franklin wood burning stove in mine instead of having to use my gas BBQ grill for heat lol.
