Carb issue

Postby Davesmalltownusa » Fri Jul 29, 2016 10:16 pm

Alright guys so last time my bike ran (over a year ago) it ran just fine after moving and transfering it i got it fired up but immediately started leaking gas upon running, after some investigative work ive found its leaking from the air vent valve (in between the two carbs) on the drivers side, the passenger side carb air vent valve doesnt leak, wondering if someone can tell me their thoughts on why it would only be on the one side and what caused this since i never messed or adjusted the carb at all

My thought : The float needle valve is leaking by and letting gas flood the carb. Most of those needle valves have a rubber tip. If something (trash) is on the seat that screws into the carb body it won't shut off will it? :P
try something like sea foam or carb cleaner.......
