Blew fuse when shorted trying to jump solenoid where is main fuse

Look at starter solenoid towards rear end of bike just to rear of battery, there's a cover. Lift cover, there is where OEM dogbone fuse was. If old, they will crack and make intermitten contact across the break. The housing is plastic, the fuse metal, = different expansion / contraction rates with temps.

It is a 30 amp fuse, it can be replaced with oem ..... or a inline 10-12 gage wire fuse holder and two ring terminals.

I checked that, seems fine but will check again. Very strange. Accidently grounded battery and all dead, nothing when key is on.

OK hey Hey Hey. Thanks very very much. I checked the fuses again and you were right, small Crack all the way through. Cleaned up contacts and jumped and JOY will replace with 30A in line. Love this site.
