Front case cover

Postby walker70 » Fri Aug 19, 2016 2:53 am

Hi,I have developed a leak around the front case cover on front of the transmission so I am going to replace all gaskets since I have to take it off,now my question is this, according to the Haynes manual when you take the cover off you have to unplug the gear indicator wire and it says to follow the wire from the case to where it plugs into the harness above the radiator but I can't find where it goes once I trace it to the top of the frame, anybody here know if you really have to unplug the wire at the connector or can I just pull the front cover off and put the new gaskets on without unplugging that wire. :)

Hi,me again, just wanted to let all know that I found the connector for the gear indicator wire and I only had to unplug it and slide it down just a bit to give me room to get the cover off, yea. :D
