SEi shelter ?

Postby Rusty Bike » Sat Aug 27, 2016 8:12 am

Will the shelter from an Interstate fit on an SEi. I doubt I'll ever use the trip computer on this bike and would prefer the clean look. Winter project. Thanks folks

even though they share the same shelter, the part numbers are different. you have a choice between black and candy wineberry red for the aspencade and interstate whereas the SEi has only one color, and thats the pearl splendor ivory.

the aspencade and interstate shelter numbers are for the black paint.......
left side.....83102-MG9-770ZM
right side...83101-MG9-770ZM

candy wineberry red
left side....83102-MG9-770ZA
right side...83101-MG9-770ZA

SEi pearl splendor ivory
left side......83102-ML8-750ZA
right side....83101-ML8-750ZA

hope this helps ya.

Would have to check, but are there dash readings that rely on the travel computer? I know the bike will operate without the travel computer hooked up, but did not pay attention to the dash read outs. Something to verify.

the only dash reading that i've found out purely by accident,( and after reading the owners manual), is the oil pressure and oil temp. when you press the oil button on the travel computer, it shows up on the right side of the dash, plus you have the radio antenna plugs under the command center and the radio speaker balance and fader, clock, mileage, fuel consumption and a few other things.

Add the change from KMH to MPH. Use this when I go to the US.

you are correct. there are 10 or more pages for the use of the command computer. i think there's also a change for the rpm's, but i may be mistaken.

You are correct - there is a digital and analogue tach on the dash. The travel computer turns the analogue tach on/off. Going to read the owners manual to get a better understanding. Learning new things about this bike all the time.

Thanks guys, I'll have to think about this one. Not yet familiar with all the functions on this bike myself. All those buttons on the shelter bug me. I still don't have the SEi on the road. I did get the plates yesterday so it's almost legal. Still need an inspection sticker. I'm shooting for this Saturday for the shakedown run. Cooler weather is coming...Yea!
