RM 1100 ptesets

Postby D&KGL1200 » Sun Oct 02, 2016 5:52 pm

1st post. I have a nice new to me '85 1200I. How do I set the Panasonic RM 1100 presets? Tuning to a st ation then holding in any preset button takes it instantly to 87.5. Cannot find a user manual in print (if there was one) or on line. Just a service manual. Thanks! :)

You can preset 4 am and 4fm stations. To program tune to the station you want to program then hit the ME (memory) button then hit the number of preset you want 1-4. That should do the trick for you. I have a owners manual for a Aspencade that I can email you if you want. The Limited and Interstate are basically the same just with less or more options. Send me a pm with your email address and I will send you a copy.

Welcome to the site! Best site on the web IMO for help and information on GoldWings. The folks here are super nice and very helpful. No question is a dumb question and there are plenty of people here that are willing to help. Congrats on the new wing!
Thanks to all who answer and help. It is greatly appreciated!

No problem! I sent you the manual just now as well as a manual for the CB radio just so you will have it. Once again welcome to the site. I love my 1200 although I must admit I have been looking at 1500's as of late lol.

Big decision. Haven't ridden a 1500 but have an 1800. I like as clear view forward as possible sooo, I liked the 3 1000's in the past & my re-entry to a Gold Wing with this recent '85 Interstate acquisition. My point being; after a sport, sport touring background and riding a friends 1800 I like the 1200 MUCH better. 3" shorter wheelbase, 70ish #'s lighter, 9" shorter overall, I sit higher with less fairing interference & more road feedback i.e.,better handling. The 1800 was a flexi-flyer.
