Did this just happen one day? Started just fine before?Been kinda slow cranking the last week?
A few possible things to look at...
I assume that if it did crank over the engine is not hydrolocked...
1st...I've found that jumping a bike doesn't work well if the bikes battery is shot/near dead/pu-pu...Jumper cables are intended to provide enough power for a weak battery to get it to star...They are not starter cables..there booster cables...You can't get enough power through booster cables to crank the bike by its self.
Starter cables are about the size of welding cables..big/heavy/obnoxious and can provide hundreds of cranking amps...booster cables are light weight and small wire size...maybe 30 to 40 amp if you have a good set.
Not sure about that.??? Check the wire size...double the length of your cable.(single wire length)then Google the amp capability at 12 volts...You'd be surprised.

Charge the battery for a day then have it load tested.....Fix as necessary.
Clean both battery cables.
After it gets running again , double check the charging system...These bikes have been prone to charging troubles as they age.
A "out of spec" charging system can ruin a new battery in just a month.
